Hotel Meudon – Wedding by the Sea
A hidden-valley hotel with its own secluded beach
Tucked away near Falmouth, Hotel Meudon combines light-filled hotel spaces, subtropical gardens, dramatic Cornish coastline and Bream Cove into one of the most distinctive wedding venues in Cornwall.

FROM LIGHT-FILLED ROOMS TO A CEREMONY BY THE SEA.
A little bit about this venue

IHotel Meudon is one of those places that feels like an escape almost as soon as you arrive.
The hotel sits in a hidden valley near Falmouth, surrounded by mature subtropical gardens that tumble down towards Bream Cove. Inside, you’ve got stylish, characterful hotel spaces and bright rooms. Outside, there are lawns, gardens, headland views and the beach itself, giving you a brilliant range of ceremony and celebration options in one place.
That versatility is one of its biggest strengths. Whatever the Cornish weather decides to do, there are always options, and every part of the venue has a completely different feel.
SUBTROPICAL GARDENS, SEA AIR AND SO MANY PLACES TO DISAPPEAR TOGETHER.
Why I love it

Photographically, Meudon is a bit of a dream.
You can move from the elegant hotel interiors into these huge, almost other-worldly gardens, past giant gunnera and winding pathways, and then suddenly emerge onto the Cornish coast at Bream Cove. The contrast is brilliant and means one wedding can have loads of visual variety without you having to leave the venue.
It’s also a venue that suits the way I like to photograph weddings. There are plenty of quiet corners for five minutes together, but equally, you never need to be dragged away from your guests for ages.
I’ve built a really close working relationship with the Meudon team too, and I’m one of their recommended suppliers. They’re warm, experienced and genuinely lovely to work alongside, which always helps the day feel relaxed.

A CORNISH ESCAPE THAT FEELS MORE LIKE A WEEKEND AWAY THAN A WEDDING VENUE.
In summary

Hotel Meudon is perfect if you want a wedding that feels intimate, stylish and a little bit removed from everyday life.
You can keep things small and personal, or take over the hotel and make a proper stay of it with your favourite people. Their exclusive-use option includes the hotel, bedrooms, gardens, beach and celebration spaces, so the whole thing can become much more than just a single day.
That sense of escape is what makes it special. You’ve got the hotel, the gardens, the coast and the people you love all together in one little corner of Cornwall.
It’s stylish without being stuffy, secluded without feeling cut off, and one of those places where the setting does a huge amount of the work for you.
