A Cornwall wedding photographer, actor, husband, dad… and someone who genuinely loves a good story.
Before I tell you about me…
I believe your wedding day should be lived, not performed.
When you look back at your photographs in twenty years’ time, I don’t want you to remember me telling you where to stand.
I want you to remember your dad trying not to cry.
Your best mate’s terrible dance moves.
The way your partner looked at you when they thought nobody was watching.
That’s what this is all about.
Twenty years of acting taught me something unexpected…
People often assume acting helped me become a better photographer because I understand storytelling.
It did.
But that’s only half of it.
The biggest thing acting and teaching gave me was the ability to help people feel comfortable.
For years I stood in front of classrooms, rehearsal rooms and audiences.
I learned how to read people.
How to put nervous people at ease.
How to know when to step in…
…and when to quietly disappear.
It turns out those are exactly the same skills that make a great wedding photographer.
Cornwall Wedding Photography
Cornwall has always been home.
I spent four years away at drama school in Guildford, but my heart has always been here.
This county isn’t just where I work.
It’s where my family lives.
It’s where we’re raising our children.
It’s where I know the hidden beaches, quiet woodland paths, dramatic clifftops and tiny back roads that somehow always have a tractor on them.
That local knowledge helps me far more than simply finding pretty places.
It means I know how the light changes through the seasons, which venues work beautifully in different weather and where we can escape for five peaceful minutes before heading back to the celebrations.
Everything comes back to family.
My wife and I have been together since we were seventeen and married for nearly two decades.
We have two wonderful children and becoming a husband and a dad has completely changed how I photograph weddings.
I know how quickly time moves.
I know how precious ordinary moments become.
That’s probably why I’m drawn to them with a camera.

Married to my best friend for nearly 19 years.
We home educate our two children.
I still play the piano (which is why I record every preview slideshow myself).
Former actor and singing teacher.
You’ll spot me briefly in Doc Martin and The Bad Education Movie if you look carefully.
My proposal involved Scrabble tiles.
