ABOUT ME
WHO IS THE PERSON BEHIND THE LENS?
Hi, it’s great to meet you.
I firmly believe that choosing a wedding photographer is a really personal decision. After all, I’ll be there with you on the most magical day of your life. So here’s a few facts about me to help you know me a little better.
1. I was born in a house called ‘The Hobbit’
2. My wife and I got together when we were 17 – married for 18 years!
3. As an actor I’ve worked with Martin Clunes and Brad Pitt!
4. I’ve played the piano since I was 11 (not constantly, I’d have sore hands!)
5. Favourite takeaway – Chinese (Singapore noodles to be precise)
6. How did I propose? – Spelled out ‘will you marry me’ in Scrabble tiles.
7. First dance? – ‘I Say a Little Prayer’
8. I’ve performed for royalty.
9. We home educate our 2 children (Hmm, maybe I can teach them to edit my weddings…)
10. I’m a big fan of meditation and looking after my mental health, I want to be able to give you my best self.
11. I’ve lived in Cornwall for nearly my whole life – I spent 4 years in Guildford for Drama School and while I was touring but my heart’s always been in Cornwall.
Why I do what I do…
After 20 years as an actor and singing teacher — and doing photography on the side — I threw myself into photography in 2019 and haven’t looked back. It’s still all about the storytelling, but now I’m telling yours. Plus, I’m a sucker for a good love story.
How I do it…
Have you ever looked at a photo of yourself and thought, “Wow, I look so awkward”? Wouldn’t it be great if someone could distract you just enough to forget the camera was even there?
That’s what I’m there for. I’ll get you to think of your favourite memories together, make each other laugh, and really reflect on how special your relationship is. Do you know what you get in your photos then? Genuine, pure emotions — and all those sparks that led you to this moment.
5, 10, or 30 years in the future, you’ll look at those photos and remember exactly what your wedding was truly about.
