Wedding photography FAQs

Wedding Photographer FAQs – Hopefully some of your questions answered here, if you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch here

How long does it take to get our wedding photos?

Your photos will be ready within 4-6 weeks after your wedding. I always try to deliver them sooner than this if possible.

What information do you need before the day?

About a month before your wedding I will send a questionnaire for you to complete with details about your wedding. Groups shots you would like (if any), venue addresses, etc. Most of this will have been covered in our chats beforehand but it’s good to get it down in writing so that nothing is left to chance.

How do we get our photos?

I deliver all my images through an online gallery. When the gallery is ready I will send you a link so you can view, download and order prints directly from the gallery. You can also share the link with any family and friends that you’d like to see the photos.

How do I book?

Once we’ve had a no-obligation chat, either in person or via video call, and you’re happy to go ahead and book, I will send you a contract to sign and an invoice with payment details. If you’ve chosen to pay monthly this will be listed on the invoice.

We have specific photos we would like taken, is this ok and how do we tell you?

Absolutely! It’s your day and I want to make sure you have all the moments that are important to you captured. On the questionnaire there is a section to put specific moments, shots and details that you want to make sure they don’t get missed.

How far will you travel?

How far do you want me to go? Anywhere in Cornwall and South Devon I will do in one day. For weddings further afield please contact me to discuss travel and accommodation options. If you want me I’ll do everything I can to be there!

What equipment do you use?

I shoot on a pair of Nikon Z6ii’s, both cameras have two cards in so there is always a backup if a card fails (sometimes they do). I’d never do a wedding with one camera or a camera with one card slot, I’m not a gambling man when it comes to your precious memories.

I also use a range of top quality lenses and flashes so that every angle is covered.

Do we need to provide anything for you?

I do ask that you provide me with a hot meal please. I will have a break while everyone is eating (who wants a photo of them mid-chew?), then I can come back refreshed for the speeches and party!

Other than that we will have done all the prep before your wedding so you can leave me to it and enjoy your day.
